European Party (EDS)

We successfully spearheaded the comprehensive redesign of the European Democrat Students (EDS) digital presence, a pivotal organization within the European People's Party (EPP) framework. EDS, as the EPP's official youth wing, required a professional overhaul of its primary digital assets: the EDS main site (edsnet.eu) and the Bullseye web magazine (bullseye-magazine.eu), with the latter suffering from malware issues.

Our mission was to craft visually appealing, modern websites that resonate with EPP staff, officials, and young Centre-Right European political enthusiasts. The objective extended to appealing to institutional donors, with a focus on simplicity and usability under diverse internet conditions. Our approach ensured mobile-friendly platforms optimized for social media and compliant with Belgian legal standards. Moreover, we emphasized creating a maintenance-friendly environment, allowing content updates with minimal technical skill.

The project began with a thorough performance and accessibility audit. We prioritized fast loading speeds and simplified content management systems to support regions with limited internet connectivity. For design and branding, we incorporated elements reflecting EDS's affiliation with EPP while maintaining an independent identity. The clean, uncluttered design avoided heavy media elements to enhance site performance.

Functionality was a cornerstone of the redesign. The main EDS site now includes essential pages such as 'About Us,' Membership, Press, Official Motions, and Annual Reports. It links seamlessly to EDS’s social media and remains predominantly static to minimize updates. Bullseye supports straightforward content updates, featuring an Editors/Authors page, article hosting, and options for embedding/displaying PDF versions of the magazine.

The result is a robust digital presence for EDS, strategically aligned with its goals, enhancing visibility and engagement ahead of key political events.
